That water art is very cool - when I was in Paris, I didn't see anything quite like it. I'm not familiar with the different sections of the city; are there any landmarks in/around La Defense that may be familiar to someone like me?

thanks! well, La Defense is the modern business part of the city with wonderful skyscrapers combined with abstract sculptures... and as you might see it's north west, a couple of miles straight from Arc de Triomphe... :D

Hmm. That is about where we stayed. I wish we'd have caught sight of some cool things like that! On the bright side, we constantly passed a statue of an intellectual thinker, and one of a large thumb. There were also a series of apartments across the street from our hotel, and one was for sale - nowhere but in Paris have I ever seen a three-room flat sell for one million dollars Canadian. I guess I did see some wonders of my own. ;';)

oh, no problem! next time you might pay more attention ;) but it is so hard to notice all the wonderful things in a city in a short visit...i wished i could have stayed longer!!!
